I am Lina, medical biotechnologist by training and adopted chemist, currently cutting my teeth in the medical writing world. In my previous life I was a researcher dealing with drug delivery and ways to entrap chemotherapy drugs in nanoparticles to fight brain cancer. During the years spent in the lab, I felt a growing need to better communicate my daily work and to find a way to interact more effectively with other scientists. After my Master's degree, I obtained a Professional Master Certificate in Journalism and Science communication and worked at the European Commission as a scientific communication officer to spread scientific results. I've always been passionate about writing and fascinated by nutrition and how proper food intake could have a positive influence on body health, mind and life in general. In my blog posts I write about nutrition and related recommendations, microbiome, but also I am deeply interested in how to make the most out of the technology we have to stimulate curiosity and convey positive and instructive messages to succeed in leading a healthy life.
