Donald Brown, MD, MS, MS

Don Brown, MD is the founder and CEO of LifeOmic. A jack of all trades, Dr. Brown received a bachelor’s in physics from Indiana University (IU), a master’s in computer science from IU, an MD from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and a master’s in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.


Shelagh Fraser, MD, MS

Chief Medical Officer at LifeOmic and a physician practicing internal medicine in Indiana. She completed her MD at Yale University and her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Fraser is a National Research Service Award Fellow. Like most of our experts, Dr. Fraser is still out there every day learning the latest trends in health and making an impact as a physician practicing internal medicine in Indiana.


Jamie Renbarger Miller, MD, MS

In month 4 of LIFE Ascent, Dr. Renbarger dives deep into helping you understand cancer and how to avoid it. She is the Caroline Symmes Professor of Pediatrics and Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Indiana University. Dr. Renbarger earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Rochester and a medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. She then went on to Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Cancer Center in Houston to complete pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training. She relocated to Indianapolis after completion of her training to join the faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) where she also earned a master’s degree in clinical research as part of the Clinical Investigator Training Enhancement Program.


Tom Barber, PhD

Experienced Chief Scientific Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the health care industry. Skilled in NGS, Biomarkers, Translational Medicine, Cancer Research and Life Sciences. Strong research background with a PhD in Human Molecular Genetics and extensive leadership experience in Pharma, LifeSciences, and HealthcareIT.


Mary Crowell, MD

Hailing from Cape Cod with an MD Degree from Harvard Medical School and a fellowship at Brown University, Dr. Crowell is a physician practicing general endocrinology. She is also the LIFE Ascent metabolic expert.


Atul Chugh, MD, FACC, RPVI

Our resident cardiovascular expert, Dr. Chugh, is a cardiologist affiliated with the Franciscan Physician Network. He works with patients to diagnose and treat heart disease, such as coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders and heart failure.


Stuart Warden, PhD

Helping us understand our musculoskeletal system, Dr. Warden is a physical therapist and musculoskeletal researcher initially from Melbourne, Australia. He is now a Professor of Physical Therapy and Associate Dean for Research at Indiana University.


Margarida Martins Oliveira, PhD

Board-certified food and nutrition expert and Registered Dietitian. She is also an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Metabolism at NOVA Medical School and a Neuroscientist with work performed at the University of California SF, King's College London, and at Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown.


Amy Lajiness, LCSW, PMH-C

Psychotherapist and ecotherapist practicing at Inner Nature Therapy in San Diego, CA. As a human and a therapist, Amy highly values authenticity, humor, and compassion for self and others.


Yasharah Raza, MS

PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on sphingolipid metabolism in hematopoiesis and leukemia. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Physiology & Biophysics.


Leidamaria Tirado-Lee, PhD

Trained scientist with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Clemson University and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University. She has been working as a science writer in the biotech industry for six years.


Courtney Adams, MS

A science writer at LifeOmic who strives to make others excited about health and science. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences before combining her enthusiasm for science with her lifelong interest in writing by pursuing an M.S. in Science and Technology Journalism.


Bradley Hancock, MT Certification

Bradley Hancock is a registered medical technologist and research scientist specializing in precision oncology. His career has been dedicated to improving treatment outcomes for people living with cancer through genetic biomarker research.
